This naming conflict remained a point of contention until the Ministry of Education issued a firm directive, stating that the school’s operating license would only be eligible for renewal if it adopted the Al-Andalus name as originally intended. Consequently, the school finalized its current branding to satisfy these governmental requirements. A crowning achievement in its administrative history occurred on March 15, 2007, when the Philippine Department of Education formally recognized the institution by granting government permit number 002, series of 2007.
